It was a weeknight, and we surprised to find 30 people who had the same idea we did. When the hostess asked "dining room" or "hibachi", I asked my husband to choose. I'm so glad he chose Hibachi.

We sat down in front of the Hibachi grill table, with several other groups. The groups at the left side of the table were already eating their meals.

After looking at the traditional hibachi options of seafood, steak and chicken, we made our selections. He chose the lobster ($21.55) and I chose the filet mignon ($20.55). We each also ordered the fried rice (for an additional $2.25 per person).

Each Hibachi meal came with a small salad with sweet ginger dressing, a clear soup with mushrooms and scallions and two grilled shrimp per person.

Our waitress served the salad and soup, and then the entertainment arrived - our chef, Joe.

He introduced himself and then made sure our order was accurate before starting his performance. Joe set up first, by giving each person around the grill a dish of spicy garlic mayonnaise, which he said was for seafood, and a dish of ginger sauce, which he said was for chicken or steak.

Joe oiled up the grill and laid out the fried rice, vegetables (a mixture of mushrooms, carrots, zuchini, squash and brocolli), two shrimp per guest, and onions. He juggled a large fork and spatula and then processed to toss an egg back and forth from one utensil to the other. He called this an "egg roll", which made all the guests laugh. He quickly made our fried rice, served it and then brought out the meat.
He remembered how each person wanted their steak cooked. My filet was amazing, and cooked the perfect tempurature. My husband had never tried hibachi grilled lobster, and liked the flavor. We shared meats and even were able to bring some fried rice and filet home.

For some reason, food always tastes better if there's entertainment involved, and in this case, our food was the entertainment.
